Finishing process consisting of the deposition of a polymeric material on one or both sides of a textile substrate so that it covers both the fibers and the interfibrillar spaces continuously to create a new structure with the combined properties of the original fabric and the polymeric coating, resulting in a composite material with improved characteristics.

Procés d'acabat que consisteix en la deposició d’un material polimèric sobre una o ambdues cares d’un substrat tèxtil, de manera que cobreix tant les fibres com els espais interfibril·lars de manera contínua per crear una estructura nova amb les propietats combinades del teixit original i del recobriment polimèric, que dona com a resultat un material compost amb característiques millorades.
